SVASE Announces The 30 Hot Companies Selected For

Product Debut Demos at  “Launch: Silicon Valley”

Mountain View, CA – May 22, 2007— The Silicon Valley Association of Startup Entrepreneurs (SVASE) today announced the 30 companies chosen to demo new products at “Launch: Silicon Valley 2007”.  The event, which will be held June 5 at the Microsoft Campus here, is a venue for emerging technology companies to share their vision of the next big thing, while networking with an audience of Silicon Valley’s top movers and shakers.

“With more than 160 companies applying from across the globe for presentation spots at  ‘Launch: Silicon Valley’, we feel confident we’ve seen some of the best and most exciting new startups out there in high growth sectors including digital media, next generation internet, life sciences and clean energy,” said Chris Gill, President and CEO of SVASE.

 

Selected companies will present on stage for 10-minutes during “Launch: Silicon Valley 2007”, with the opportunity to explain their products in more detail to the audience during planned networking breaks.  Culminating the event will be the “Launch: Silicon Valley 2007” award for the “most promising new company” in each of the six presenting categories.

In addition to the company presentations, the event will be keynoted by renowned industry and economic influencers: David Crane, Special Advisor to the Governor for Jobs and Economic Growth, will open the event with remarks on the state of startups in California; Reid Hoffman, veteran entrepreneur and founding CEO of LinkedIn  - currently LinkedIn’s Chairman and President, Products - will deliver the event’s closing keynote.
